TAG: small oval silver tinsel.
BODY: black floss, tapered.
RIB: small oval silver tinsel, continued from tag.
COLLAR: black saddle hackle.
UNDERWING: white polar bear ( substitute w/ bucktail or arctic fox ), for rigidity.
WING: small bunch of pearl flashabou; a few strands of junebug (#6926) flashabou over.
What better way to start my fly files than with my #1 summer run producer. Well, maybe I should, but instead I give you The Fritter, which isn't far off. This fly came to me by way of Joe Fitterer. Joe came to fish with us on the Ronde and his grandson Mark tied up a handfull of flies for his trip. This one was among them and stood out. I've been copying it and taking fish with it for many years since. It has rarely failed as a follow up to anything dry or wet.
